Inspiring women to celebrate beauty on their own terms, Dove launched #MyBeautyMySay, a NEW FILM that profiles the unique stories of 9 real women, including androgynous Rain Dove, on how they overcame the beauty limits that were placed on them.
Each story tackles the psychological warfare against women that is leveraged to degrade, oppress, control, and police women’s bodies. The reality of such warfare is reflected in statistics indicating, among other things, that 9 in 10 (85%) women and 8 in 10 (79%) girls with low body-esteem are more likely to stop doing the things they love, including opting out of sports activities, if they don’t feel good about the way they look.
