Thom Browne and Androgyny: A Look Back

With mainstream fashion now obsessed with androgyny and gender-less style, Thom Browne’s latest Spring 2018 collection, which showcases men in skirts, is getting a lot of kudos on social media for being forward-thinking. However, Thom Browne’s designs have a long history of blurring binary gender lines prior to his latest collection, and dapperQ has long been following Browne’s designs and his over-the-top fashion shows. (But we’re not so much fans of his lack of racial and ethnic diversity in model casting!) So, we decided to take a trip down memory lane, sharing some of our favorite androgynous looks from Browne’s collections over the years.
