Gay High School Senior Stuns in Gold Dress, Crowned Homecoming Royalty

Last Friday, gay Senior Brandon Allen, 17, was crowned to the White Station High School’s homecoming “Royal Court,” a title the Memphis, Tennessee school used in lieu of traditional titles of “King” and “Queen.” Allen accepted the crown while wearing a stunning gold dress, a moment that was captured by Junior Emmett Campbell, 16, who identifies as transgender.

Allen has received overwhelming support from both students and faculty. The school posted a photo of Allen in celebration and has defended any criticisms that have been posted on their social media channels.

Allen posted on his Instagram profile, “Thank you to everyone who has contributed to me becoming queen,” according to NBC News. “You guys truly looked stunningly beautiful and I am so honored to have been able to walk with you guys!!”
