Time for some Skagway, Alsaska inspired street style with Vick Quezada, a seasonal Alaskan worker and a fan of dapperQ currently living in California.
Vick, a queer chicano artist, is originally from the border town of El Paso, TX. Vick played collegiate sports and graduated from UTEP with a major in Graphic Design.Vick’s a mover and a shaker and has lived in various cities, such as Las Cruces, Las Vegas, L.A., NYC, and the Last Frontier – Skagway, Alaska.Vick’s nomadic lifestyle is partially due to the nature of work in sporting events, then briefly working as a retail activist for Housing Works Thrift in Brooklyn, and since the seasonal Alaska tourism industry. Vick’s had one long journey with plenty of uncanny characters, outlandish tales and worldly life lessons. By trade, Vick is a freelance Graphic Designer and documentary photographer. Vick’s hobbies include travel, thrifting, estate sales, dapper fashion, craft beer and collecting vintage military surplus. Vick’s wearing Carhartt pants (Mountains Shop, $50), a Ralph Lauren Denim Snap Shirt (Housing Works, $15), and Xtratuff boots (Skagway City Resale, $5). The boots and the pants are a classic Alaskan signature outerwear.
