While it is not our place to make assumptions about Abby Wambach’s sexual orientation, one thing we can confirm about the U.S professional soccer player and Olympic gold medalist is that she is not afraid to embrace her masculine-of-center self.
I’m not even a huge soccer fan. (I know, I know. My Bosnian better half says I’m the typical Merikan). But, after seeing Wambach in ESPN magazine’s “Body Issue,” I’ve been following soccer a bit more closely.
Oh yeah, I was supposed to be reporting that FIFA named her 2012 female player of the year! And, here she is looking all dapper (with a bit more clothes on) accepting her award.
