Sterling Cruz-Herr (Founder, Emeritus)

Sterling Cruz-Herr is the founder emeritus of dapperQ. As a teacher, executive, and entrepreneur, Sterling is passionately committed to advancing ideas that matter. They founded dapperQ in 2009 on the hunch that fashion could build solidarity in the LGBTQ community and positive visibility for masculine presenting women, gender queers and trans-identified individuals in the broader media landscape. For Sterling’s work with dapperQ, they have been quoted in media outlets that include the Washington Post, Huffington Post, Daily Beast, Curve, and Diva. They were also named to Go Magazine’s 100 Women We Love. Sterling lives in Brooklyn with their wife Shannon.
