Splurge vs. Steal: Affordable Versions of Your Favorite Brands

A reader writes:

So, I was looking at your recommended stores and while I loved most of what I was seeing most of it was WAY out of my price range…. Any advice for those of us who are looking to dress well but save a few bucks?

After we published our store guide, we were bombarded with e-mails applauding our roundup. However, another large group of you stated that you couldn’t afford the brands we listed and sent requests similar to the one above asking for more affordable options. Our goal is to support our community. That includes entrepreneurs and brands designing clothing for dapperQs. But, we also want to make style accessible for as many people as possible.  We posted some tips for dressing for less (thrifting is always a great option), but we felt a regular feature to help our readers find items they love in their price range would be a good resource. Hence, our new roundup: Splurge v. Steal.

There are some items that we recommend you always invest a bit more in (a good suit) and we always recommend supporting small, queer, and independently owned businesses if it’s within your means. But, we hear you readers. So, without further ado, this week’s affordable finds:
