Scissors & Clippers Popup Barbershop for Women and LGBTQ’s Who Rock Short Hair

Scissors & Clippers, a barbershop popup featuring bad ass barbers, is hosting a special event that will include short hair cuts by their select barbers as well as a photo exhibition celebrating women and gender nonconforming individuals who rock short hair. The barbershop and exhibition will be open March 10-11th from 10am-10pm at New Women Space in Brooklyn. Scissors & Clippers will ultimately open a brick and mortar shop for women and LGBTQIA+ individuals who want a safe space to get stylish short hair cuts. This special Women’s Day event (open to all genders) is a day of unity, inclusivity, and solidarity. Tickets are currently $10, but dapperQ readers can get 20% off using code DAPPER20.
The event sponsors Birchbox stated, “We’ve been talking a lot lately about what it means to be a useful, relevant and inclusive company in today’s world, and although the beauty industry has been more progressive than others in many ways, we still have work to do. As we think about ways big and small to improve our business and prioritize inclusivity, we want to support others who are taking action and paving the way. We’re so inspired by what You & Sundry is doing to celebrate this group of women – and non-binary individuals – and are honored to play a small part in it.”
