A New record in @goorinbros history has been set…by a Black woman! Please take a moment to congratulate @zipporahjoel and her new collector! 🔴The outright purchase of her ‘Big Daddy’ sculpture hat at our launch sets a new record being the first hat ever sold at a $1200 price point in @goorinbros history. The new record and bar has been set by an ATL creative who unapologetically owns her crown 👑 Zippy is also the youngest on this project and I couldn’t be more proud and happy for her. She’s a multifaceted creative who’s not afraid to push the envelope. She’s got two other available pieces left on the auction link in our bio. You can also view them through Nov 7th at @goorinbrosponcecity . Show her some love and check her out🙌🏾✨ #ownyourcrOWNatl

The concept for OWN your crOWN was inspired by current events and will serve as an emblematic tip of the hat towards Atlanta’s stylistic culture of social justice through the fine arts.  To “OWN your crOWN” is to literally own your worth, to be empowered and self appointed.

The featured Goorin hats will be adorned with artistic works from Dr. Fahamu Pecou, Grace Kisa, Zipporah Joel, Melissa Mitchell, C Flux Sing, Alexander John, DL Warfield, Sean Fahie, and Vek Neal. All content will be documented courtesy of Esquire Branding Agency and Steve West Photography. Each hat is intended to serve as a reminder to take agency of yourself and radiate distinction even in times of uncertainty.
