Seeking Volunteer Bloggers and Photographers

Who knows better about the dapperQ experience and what dapperQs want to read than YOU, our readers?! Got something to say? Want to get some articles and/or photos published?

We are looking for volunteer contributors to author critical analyses of the relationship between gender and fashion; share personal stories; blog about style trends; and/or capture images of street fashion. This is a great opportunity to:

  1. Gain experience with a fashion website that is also dedicated to acting as a positive voice for the community;
  2. Get articles and/or photos published on dapperQ (Psst…many of our articles have been co-published on AfterEllen and Autostraddle and in Curve magazine.);
  3. Meet new people. (Think of all the hotties you’ll get to meet when you ask if you can interview and/or photograph them …as Murray Hill would say, “SHOWBIZ.”); and
  4. Punish our Managing Editor, Anita Dolce Vita, for all her typos!

Good times, right?

Qualifications:

This position requires strong writing skills, the ability to author creative pieces (street fashion, interviews, style reports, critiques, essays, etc.), knowledge of popular social media platforms, and computer proficiency (some Photoshop and web and graphic design would be a plus, but not necessarily required). This is a non-paid gig. However, hours are flexible and you can work from home. Contribute as often as you’d like. You do not have to live in New York!

DON’T BE SHY! We’re willing to work with newbies. Send your ideas to [email protected]
