The Switchy Queer Style of Killing Eve’s Villanelle

Killing Eve has produced the show of my dreams by delivering a strong, well-written woman character who is not only a psychotic assassin but also a sartorially smart queer, Villanelle played by Jodie Comer. Not since Sex and the City (I know, problematic af) have I waited impatiently for the weekly fashion reveals on a fiction television series. (I clarify fiction because I have always loved the Project Runway reveals.) What I love most about Villanelle’s style is that she floats effortlessly across the feminine-masculine spectrum, with outfits that incorporate feminine, masculine, and everything in between and outside of. Her wardrobe is as complex and multidimensional as her character, and slay as fiercely as her methods of assassination. Here are some of my fav looks:
