On November 18, 2023, GARRAS (Groundbreaking Activism Redirecting & Reforming All Systems) hosted its annual fundraising fashion show to support the life-saving supportive services that The TransLatin@ Coalition provides in Los Angeles through the Center for Violence Prevention & Transgender Wellness. Founded in 2014, GARRAS annual event is more than just an event. Models are actively engaged in community dialogue and speak and advocate on behalf of trans, gender nonconforming, and intersex (TGI) individuals about the issues facing our communities. The event serves as a platform for the TGI community to showcase their talent and leadership skills, demonstrating to the public the many ways that TGI people, like all people, dream of a better future and contribute to our society. The event participants serve as role models by encouraging and empowering themselves and other TGI individuals to pursue and follow their dreams, whatever those may be.
Presenting designers included Sharpe Suiting, TS Secret, Ten Eleven, Life of Mars, Eruvey Tapia, Armani Dae, Claudia Abundis, El Burro, and Natalia Acosta.
