On the heels of their acclaimed inaugural year, producers Miz Chris of fiveTEN Oakland Events and Fallon Davis of This Is Butch, Inc., are teaming up again to host the second annual Queer Fashion Week (QFW) in Oakland California. The highly anticipated week-long event runs from September 28th to October 2nd will be held Venue event center in Oakland.
This year’s QFW integrates some of the most innovative concepts from mainstream creative events – the fashion show elements of New York Fashion Week, the conferences of South by Southwest, the vendor booths of Liberty Fairs, and the parties of all three – but focuses specifically on the contributions of the LGBTQ community. The fashion shows will feature over 32 designers and 150 models and are part of an impressive lineup of events, including:
Thursday Designers: Kirrin Finch, Unbound Estillo, Re/Dress, Size Queen Clothing, Dapper Boi, Ricee’s Pieces Designs, Sambi Fashions, Show and Tell, Concept Shop Strapping Fit, Feelmore Adult Gallery
Friday Designers: Glamour Coated Melons, Nik Kacy, T. Christal Designs, Patty Wack Vintage
